This idea of upcycling and slow fashion comes from Itziar of @lacasaatelier, who has transformed a Channelprom No Desert backpack into a work of art with beautiful white daisies painted using Tcolors textile paint.
Your daughter Noa is delighted with the result and says that the daisies are very aesthetic. Do you want to know how she did it? Well, we’ll show you a video and the step-by-step instructions. Keep reading.
Necessary materials:
- Mochila No desert by channelprom fo MyBP gift
- Textil Paint Tcolors colours with and yellow
- Brushes
- Palette
- Kraft paper or cardboard to protect the work surface.
- Iron
- Inspiración de estampado (You can find ideas on Pinterest)
The step-by-step process is amazingly easy, you just must follow these tips:
Step 1: Choose an Inspiring Pattern
Before you begin, search for a pattern or design that inspires you on Pinterest or another source. Make sure it’s a design that’s easy to recreate so the process is enjoyable and hassle-free.
Step 2: Paint Several Layers of Color
To begin, apply three layers of Tcolors textile paint in white onto the backpack. Make sure that each layer is completely dry before applying the next one. This will ensure that the color is opaque and long-lasting.
Step 3: Add the Details
Once the white background is dry, use a brush and Tcolors textile paint in yellow to add the details to your design. For example, if you’re making daisies like Itziar, you can use yellow to paint the dots in the center of the flowers. A single coat of yellow paint should be enough for the details.
Step 4: Let It Dry and Set the Color
“Let the backpack dry completely. This may take some time, so be patient. Once it’s completely dry, run a hot iron over the design. This will help set the textile paint and ensure it doesn’t come off with use and washing. And that’s it, that’s how easy and quick you can have a unique and original backpack to start the 2023 school year on the right foot. I hope you’ve liked this tutorial and that you’re inspired to try Tcolors textile paints, which are amazing.”
If you do it, don’t forget to share your creations with the hashtag #Tcolors and tag us @tcolors_official and Itziar from @lacasaatelier, we would love to see them.
